Here is several knots for tying your fly to the leader. You can also use these knots to lures.  Remember to spit on the knot before tightening and you have a stronger knot. To finish off your knot you can add a drop of fishing glue to make it even stronger. More knots


O'Callaghans knot

This fly knot is easy to tie, even in dark. Increase the turns from three to five for added strength.

 


Turles knot

Driving fly knot especially used by salmon fishermen.

Improved turles knot

A stronger variation of the Turles knot.


Double turles knot

The strongest Turles knot. Recommended for salmon flies.


Single lure knot

The most widely used knot for lures and spinners, but also used by most flyfishers. The single lure knot is surprisingly weak.


Crawfords knot

Easy to tie yet reliable and secure fly knot.


The Orvis Knot

A strong and easy to tie knot from american Orvis
